About WORDS FOR WELLNESS
Who are we?
Our community of compassionate volunteers makes a difference from the comfort of their own homes. Words for Wellness invites you to write cards, each of which will be delivered to people in need. Whether you're a student seeking service hours or an individual passionate about spreading kindness, your words have the power to bring comfort to those in treatment. After crafting your cards, simply mail them to our address, and we will take care of the distribution. It's a simple yet impactful way to contribute to the well-being of others. If you represent a hospital interested in receiving these uplifting cards, please connect with us at carilyn.wordsforwellness@gmail.com. Together, let's create a chain of positivity, one card at a time.

Meet The Team
Carilyn Bacchi
Founder and President
Carilyn Bacchi is the founder of Words for Wellness, the Nonprofit she started at the age of 17. She knew there was a need to bring more emotional support to hospital patients, so she created Words for Wellness to help fill this need through the creation and distribution of volunteer-written cards. Carilyn's inspiration for Words for Wellness came from her own experiences as a young patient who spent months hospitalized. Because of her personal experience as a hospital patient, Carilyn deeply desires to show other patients just how loved and valued they really are. In her free time, Carilyn dedicates her time working in hospitals and facilities both as a Hospital volunteer and as a Healthcare Worker. Carilyn has received the President’s Volunteer Service Award and the Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition for her volunteer work running Words for Wellness. In addition to these awards, Carilyn received the Brother Eamon Schaffer certificate of recognition at her alumni school. Carilyn Bacchi is honored to assist hospital patients in any way she can. She is honored to recieve this much support from Words for Wellness' growing volunteer community. Carilyn Bacchi continues to work her hardest to spread love to patients through Words for Wellness.
Aryahi Sharma
Director of Outreach
Aryahi Sharma is the Director of Outreach at Words for Wellness and is a senior at Saint Francis High School. She met Carilyn Bacchi while they were fellow volunteers at their local hospital. As Aryahi interacted with patients, she realized that she wanted to help them more, in ways that were beyond the scope of her hospital volunteering. When Carilyn introduced her to Words for Wellness, Aryahi's interest was immediately piqued, and she knew that this was the perfect opportunity to brighten up countless patients' days. Aryahi believes that thoughtful cards have the power and potential to positively impact the recipient's emotions. She is a highly compassionate individual who wants to leave hospital patients feeling loved and cared for. Additionally, Aryahi has received numerous awards, including the President's Volunteer Service Award and the Brother Eamon Schaffer certificate of recognition, which she received from her school, for her service in multiple fields. She is excited to work with Carilyn at Words for Wellness to expand her service to thousands of patients, and she hopes to embody their shared vision of hope and compassion.
